SiS LVM home Renforsen is located in Vindeln and provides care for men who have alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues.

Job Description

Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue/treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge for you. SiS LVM home Renforsen is looking for 3 positions to be part of our development work. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the routines in the department function and are followed as they should. You also play a significant role in the stability and safety of our clients and are responsible for the basics of daily life such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building trusting relationships and contribute to ensuring that our clients receive the security and safety they need to break ingrained behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathy, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

  • At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
  • Driver's license B
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., correctional officer
  • Experience from client-facing positions within other government agencies
  • Education in care and nursing
  • Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care or youth care

*Exceptions from the requirement for at least a two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
